Sagar Bhatia Reveals Jamnapaar Folks Call Jamnapaar ‘Chaap Colony’; Here’s Why

The latest episode of Tere Gully Mein was filled with soulful musical notes, some interesting food discoveries, and lots of flavours, all thanks to the melodious voice behind Sagar Wali Qawwali, Sagar Bhatia. He showed us some of his favourite places in Jamnapaar and even shared why locals call it the ‘Chaap Colony’.

Why Is Jamnapaar Called The ‘Chaap Colony’?

“Hum Jamnapaar ko, khud Jamnapaari hone ke baad, ‘Chaap Colony’ bulate hai! Kyunki yahan ke haar do dukaano ke baad ek chaap ke dukaan hoti hai. Aur humare yahan alag-alag tarah ki chaap bhi hoti hai. Malai wali, bina malai wali, tez masale wali, halke masale wali, butter wali, bina butter wali, tandoor wali, fried wali, sab milega aapko yahan. Bahut saari type ki chaap milegi aapko yahan,” Sagar Bhatia shared with a big smile. He also mentioned that all these chaaps are only available in vegetarian options as “chaap matlab veg”.

We couldn’t help but ask if Sagar Bhatia avoids eating food with lots of spices because of his music riyaaz and he said, “Khaana aur gaana sath main chalta hai. Jo acha khaaega, woh acha gayega. Maan ki nahi maarte khaane ke mamle main. Thoda weather change main you have to be cautious warna main to bahut bada foodie hun, main nahi karta.”
