Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times on Thursday by an intruder, who barged into his Mumbai house. According to the police, the incident took place around 2:30 AM and the actor had to undergo surgery because of the injuries. The actor’s team has confirmed that an attempted burglary took place at his residence and he got severely injured during the whole ordeal.
Saif Ali Khan Stabbed During Burglary Attempt At Home
According to the Hindustan Times, Saif Ali Khan was injured severely after a robber barged in his and wife Kareena Kapoor’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra (West). The actor was, reportedly, sleeping in his house along with his other family members when the unknown intruder entered the house.
Saif was stabbed six times, including one to the neck and another closer to his spine. Due to his injuries, he was taken to the Lilavati Hospital at around 3:30 AM. His injuries were quite severe and he had to undergo surgery, which started at 5:30 AM. As per the latest update, he is out of danger now.
While talking to Hindustan Times, Deputy police commissioner Dikshit Gedam said an investigation is underway to know more about the incident. The attacker, reportedly, fled the scene after Saif was stabbed. A First Information Report is being registered about the whole incident and the police are trying to trace the attacker.

Actor’s Team Issues Statement About His Condition
Saif Ali Khan’s team has released an official statement confirming the attack. In the statement, they said that “there was an attempted burglary” at the actor’s residence. They further added that he is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. They have asked his fans and media houses to be patient and not speculate anything as it is a “police matter” and an investigation is underway.
