How do you feel about phirni? What if your favourite phirni could have salted caramel? You know we don’t play with emotions. We have actually found a place where you can get salted caramel phirni and it doesn’t end there. A small corner shop in south Delhi’s Greater Kailash 2 is leading the desi sweet game. Gur Chini has changed the way we see our ghar ki mithai. There’s no going back from here now.
What is it
It’s organic! Gur Chini is making organic mithai! Your salted caramel phirni will be sweetened with the likes of honey. They also use healthier alternatives to sugar like jaggery, sugarcane, palmyra, date palm, and nelon. They use three kinds of honey – manuka, garchia, and rosemary – according to the flavour best suited for each dessert. Their prices are not as exorbitant as their mithais but, compared to regular prices, it could come as a bit of a shock. Their pedas can cost up to ₹100. We’re talking one piece of peda. Their paan peda is worth a try and the presentation is a delight! Each ladoo is special and can cost upwards of ₹100. Their rose ladoos truly stuck with us for the fresh fragrance and natural taste.
