This time, Christmas is going to be extra special for Indians. Wondering how? Finland’s national airline Finnair flew Santa Claus all the way from Finland to India for the very first time. And if you didn’t know, he has already landed in the city of dreams, Mumbai. Hold your calm as we unveil the deets!

Santa Claus Has Finally Come To Town!

Santa Claus is now on a world tour to spread happiness and cheer this Christmas season. He has shifted from his sleigh to the official Finnish airline, Finnair, to travel across the globe. After visiting Singapore and Tokyo, Santa is finally in India. He landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, in the early hours of December 15.

He will be in Mumbai till December 18 and will attend a slew of events as part of the Santa Claus Foundation to boost the well-being of children. He will make his way to IIT-Bombay and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. On December 18, he will be at Phoenix Palladium between 3 PM and 7 PM to meet and greet the kids and their parents. Finnair and Visit Finland have collaborated to organise these events.

Here’s How You Can Fly To Santa’s Official Hometown

Finnair operates flights between Mumbai and Helsinki thrice a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Thus, if you want to travel to Santa Claus’s official home country, you can take a Finnair flight. Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland is the hometown of Santa Claus, and Finnair operates flights to Rovaniemi as well. Rovaniemi is a charming village dotted with wooden houses, cosy cafes, pretty gift shops and much more.
