As revealed in a report by the Gulf News, which quoted ANI, Saudia Airlines’ flight SV821 had to make a diversion on its course. It was flying from Jakarta, Indonesia, to Madinah in Saudi Arabia. However, on Sunday evening, the flight had to change its course to Kerala in India. It was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport due to a medical emergency on board.

The flight had reached out for emergency landing clearance after a passenger had allegedly lost consciousness. This flight was carrying 395 passengers and 18 crew members on board. And therefore made a landing at 7 PM as mentioned in the same report. The passenger in question had then been ferried to a hospital for treatment.

Once the medical evacuation was done, the flight continued its journey and departed for Madinah at about 8:30 PM. However, it’s worth mentioning that it’s not the only flight which made an emergency landing the previous week.

With the flames licking inside the overhead compartment, there was a lot of smoke and panic. Although it’s worth mentioning that the blaze was quickly contained by the cabin crew.

In another instance of an emergency landing, a Boeing 737 windshield cracked at 36,000 feet. This was a United Airlines aircraft, which was headed from Denver to Los Angeles on October 16th. As a result, the pilot was injured due to the cracked cockpit windshield. The aircraft was then quickly diverted to Salt Lake City for an emergency landing.
