After A Year-Long Closure, AlUla’s Daimumah Reopens With New Culture, Cuisine & Community

AlUla has been a topic of discussion in terms of tourism and events that take place throughout the year. Also, you would have heard of spots like Hegra’s ancient tombs or Elephant Rock. But beyond the desert of AlUla stands an oasis that’s hardly discovered. So if you want to experience something fresh from AlUla’s heart, Daimumah is finally back.

Daimumah In AlUla Is A Must-Visit Oasis In Saudi Arabia

After nearly a year-long closure, Daimumah in AlUla has reopened. Visitors can expect new experiences that perfectly blend culture, cuisine, and community like never before.

You can reach there by travelling few minutes from AlUla Old Town. We know Daimumah usually doesn’t get a touristy stop in the tours, but trust us, it’s a living, breathing slice of heritage. Daimumah means “sustainability” in Arabic, and its palm-fringed trails, springs, and an oasis are proof. It has been lovingly shaped by farmers of the region for centuries.

Very few know that AlUla’s story began here, and with fertile lands and inspired traditions, it is still alive today. And now, after a year-long closure, Daimumah is reopening as a celebration of nature, art, and history, as reported by AlUla Moments in their Instagram post.

Walk, Wander And Wonder

Stroll through the lush green fields by yourself or join guided thematic walking tours for a better understanding of the oasis. The local guides will walk you through ancient irrigation channels (qanats) that once carried water to crops and tell stories about the mudbrick homes that still exist.

Art, Food, and Connection

What sets Daimumah apart is how it blends old-world charm with modern creativity. Public art installations, interactive exhibits, and curated retail spaces have turned the oasis into a cultural playground.

And when hunger hits, Daimumah’s Oasis-to-table restaurant delivers, literally. Here, you’ll indulge in food that’s prepared using local produce, inspired by the region’s culinary roots.

Head to The Nest, a creative zone for all ages where visitors can make natural soaps, paint candles, or engrave pottery.  All ingredients used in this creative process are drawn straight from the oasis.
