1. Sheikh Mohammed Announces Launch Of National University Of Dubai

Recently, Dubai announced the launch of Dubai National University. There would be an initial investment of AED4.5 billion. In fact, the university will provide specialised and future academic programmes. This announcement was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of Dubai and Vice President of the UAE.

2. UAE Citizens Asked To Be Wary Of Tropical Storm Francine

The UAE recently warned its citizens to exercise caution as the tropical storm neared the region. Yes, the Emirate’s mission the Houston has urged their citizens to be wary of the tropical storm Francine. Yes, the storm is expected to affect the city and neighbouring areas.

3. First IAIO Begins In Riyadh

Happening till September 12, the first-ever IAIO is currently underway in Riyadh. In fact, they have already drawn participants from 25 countries. The opening ceremony for the event was a grand affair with traditional performances and speeches highlighting the significance of this event.

4. Saudia Launches Services Between Jeddah and Chennai

If you’re someone who plans to visit India, then you’ll be pleased to know that Saudia has announced that the frequency of flights will increase between Saudi Arabia and India. The flyers will get to fly more frequently between Chennai and Jeddah. Yes, the services will be three times a week, from October 2 onwards.

5. MOHRE Announces Paid Holiday For Private Sector

Taking to X on September 9, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced a public holiday for the private sector on Sunday, September 15, 2024. This paid holiday has been given to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammed.
