Are you still waiting for that one friend who’s “five minutes away”? Well, while your friend couldn’t understand the basic concept of punctuality,  Saudia Airline has been out here running a global masterclass in it. Saudi Arabia’s national airline just topped the world’s aviation charts for the second time this year. It is clearly proving that when Saudi says “on time,” they mean it. Cirium, the big boss of aviation analytics based in London, has given Saudia its golden stamp. The airline has bagged the badge of the most punctual airline worldwide for both take-offs and landings in June 2025.

Saudia & Flyadeal Crowned Most Punctual Airlines Globally In June

And it’s not just Saudia climbing to cruising altitude, Flyadeal also took the crown as the Middle East and Africa’s most on-time low-cost airline. This isn’t one of those “right place, right time” wins. Saudia Arabia didn’t just luck out; it worked for it. The airline clocked in 16,733 flights in June alone, managing a jaw-dropping 91.33% on-time arrival rate and a 90.69% departure rate. And what’s wild is that it’s not even their first time. They nailed the same feat back in March 2025, and again in June last year.

That’s literally thrice in 13 months. The goal? Become one of the planet’s top aviation hubs. That means expanding connections, improving flight experiences, and turning Saudi into a go-to stopover for globe-trotters, business moguls, and yes, even that aunty flying in for the family wedding.

Flyadeal & Riyadh Airport Join The Winner’s Circle

Let’s talk about Flyadeal. This low-cost carrier from the Saudia Group beat out even its big brother in the regional game. With 91.77% of its 5,980 flights arriving on the dot, it became the most punctual airline in the Middle East and Africa. Proof that even budget travel in Saudi Arabia can run smoother.

But wait, even Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport is on the leaderboard, ranked the world’s most punctual large airport for June. Outperforming major hubs like Heathrow, JFK, and Changi, this airport recorded 90.41% on-time departures and 86.99% arrivals, handling over 22,000 flights across 109 routes.

Over in the Eastern Province, Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport secured a solid seventh spot globally among medium-sized airports, clocking an impressive 86.18% on-time departure rate across 8,200 flights.
