Dubai, get your wallets ready, but don’t expect to empty them. The high-street king of budget fashion, Primark, is finally setting up shop in the UAE, and it’s a full-blown retail moment. After winning hearts (and closets) across the UK and Ireland, Primark is partnering with the Alshaya Group to open three stores in Dubai. Let the affordable shopping spree begin.
Three Dubai Stores, One Goal: Primark In Dubai
Primark will make its UAE debut in early 2026, opening branches at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and City Centre Mirdif. The first regional launch, however, will happen in Kuwait at The Avenues Mall by the end of 2025. The announcement came straight from John Hadden, CEO of Alshaya Group, on Virgin Radio Dubai’s Kris Fade Show.
And here’s the juicy bit: those iconic budget prices aren’t going anywhere. You’ll still be able to grab a pair of jeans for Dhs50 and basic t-shirts for just Dhs15. That’s the magic of Primark.
What’s The Big Deal About Primark?
If you’ve never queued for a £5 hoodie on a rainy London afternoon, let’s catch you up. Born in Dublin 55 years ago as “Penneys”, Primark has grown into a retail giant with over 450 stores spread across 15 countries. It even has a growing presence in the US.
Primark’s charm is simple: it delivers fashion-forward finds, homeware essentials, beauty buys and kidswear, all at knock-down prices. It’s the kind of place where you go in for socks and walk out with an entire wardrobe and a new duvet cover.
And while it doesn’t sell online (yes, you read that right), it draws loyal shoppers to its massive outlets like a magnet, thanks to constantly updated stock, viral trends and wallet-hugging prices.
Dubai, Meet Your New Favourite Retail Obsession
With Dubai being the land of luxury malls and high-end brands, Primark’s arrival brings a delicious twist to the shopping landscape. Whether you’re a bargain hunter, a fashion-lover on a budget, or just someone who can’t say no to a good deal, Primark’s UAE launch is set to shake things up.

Let the countdown begin.
