Sharjah Mango Festival Returns In June
Returning on June 27, the Sharjah Mango Festival will be happening till June 29 at Expo Khor Fakkan. For the fourth edition of this event, people will get a chance to enjoy a wide range of mango varieties. All of these will be sourced directly from local farms making the festival highly enjoyable. As it happens, it will celebrate its agricultural strength while also serving as a platform for people who love to relish this fruit. Moreover, premium local mango varieties will also be showcased at the event, which will boost the efforts of the farmers.
Varieties Of Mangoes To Watch Out For
As revealed by Khaleej Times, the announcement for the festival comes after coordinated meetings being held by the organising committee. Together, they are working diligently to ensure a successful edition of the festival. In fact, during a meeting chaired by Khalil Al Mansouri, who is the Director of Government Relations at the Sharjah Chamber, this festival’s importance was highlighted. In fact, a bunch of popular mango varieties will be showcased for the people. These include the Yemini Mango, which is the most affordable one and is generally priced at AED10 per KG. Other varieties that will be on display are: Alphonso Mango, Peruvian Mango, Cambodian and Chinese Mangoes, and Colombian Mini Mango.

Not only this, the festival will also feature workshops for farmers that will focus on sustainable farming techniques. In fact, there will be several competitions for promoting farming excellence, and even facilitate knowledge exchange.
