Sheikh Hamdan Visits Dubai Municipality; Approves 200 Initiatives & Plans To Beautify Public & Historic Sites

Dubai Municipality envisions many futuristic projects for the Emirates. Sheikh Hamdan recently visited the office for a similar purpose. His brother, Sheikh Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE accompanied him to review the projects. As per Dubai Media Office, the crown prince has approved 200 initiatives that will enhance many elements of Dubai. Let’s dive a little deeper to understand what is inclusive of this list of initiatives.

HH Sheikh Hamdan & Sheikh Maktoum Visit Dubai Municipality

Following the beginning of the Municipality’s restructuring, Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Maktoum received an update on the operations of the Municipality. They went to the Hall of the Future to see the achievements of the division. While visiting the department, they also evaluated the status of numerous important projects, initiatives, and strategic goals. Important officials from the Dubai Municipality named Mattar Al Tayer and Dawoud Al Hajri greeted them.

The “Beginning of the Journey” exposition served as the starting point for Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Maktoum’s visit. Here, they saw a collection of photographs documenting the history of Dubai Municipality accompanied by certain notable achievements. The executive directors of the Municipality and their crews gave a briefing to Their Highnesses on the key outcomes of the organizational reform.

200 Initiatives & Beautification Of The Emirates Was Discussed At The Office

The engagement of the Municipality’s corporate framework has been completed to an 80%  level. Around 170 projects from the executive directors’ 100-day plans have been put into action. Few are on the roster to be completed in the coming years.

Also, they were informed of the 200 transformational initiatives that Dubai Municipality plans to roll out between 2023 and 2024 as part of its most crucial development goals.

The Dubai Municipality seeks to raise the proportion of initiatives using corporate sector collaborations to 60% and reach a 90% customer satisfaction rate.

The Dubai Municipality has significantly improved the aesthetics of Dubai and we can’t deny that part while we gaze at the trees and concrete blending beautifully together. Between 2020 and 2022, its nurseries generated more than 136 million saplings of plants and flowers.

The Dubai Municipality’s 100-Year Project includes the world’s longest and biggest sustainable rainwater tunnel. This implementation has significantly improved the sustainability of Dubai.

We might soon witness certain beautification projects getting implemented in the public spaces of Dubai.
