The Dubai government is constantly working towards improving the infrastructure for the people living in the city. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and the Ruler of Dubai. Yes, and he has approved a five-year plan for internal roads. This plan includes 21 projects and this will be spread across 12 areas, including residential, industrial, and commercial. So, with 643 km of new roads that are estimated to cost AED3.7 billion, the plan is certainly going to uplift the infrastructure in these areas. Here’s all about it!
Sheikh Mohammed Approves 5-Year Plan For Internal Roads (2025 to 2029)
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the 5-Year Plan For Internal Roads (2025 to 2029). In fact, 12 areas will be covered under this plan. With the construction of these roads, transportation in the newly developed urban areas will make travelling easier. This is brilliant as with the construction of these internal roads, connectivity is going to be much better. In fact, just by the end of the last year, 6000 km of the total roads were completed in residential and industrial areas.

- In 2025, internal roads will be constructed in the areas of Nad El Sheba 3 and Al Amardi.
- Dubai RTA will be constructing 92 km of internal roads in the areas of Al Awir 1 and Nadd Hessa, in 2026.
- In 2027, 45 km of be developed in Hatta, Al Athbah, and Mushrif. Not to mention 14 km of roads will also be constructed in Warsan 3.
- In 2028, the longest internal roads project will be constructed. This will extend more than 284 km and will be done in the areas of Al Awir 1 (221 km), Wadi Al Amardi (22 km), and Hind 3 (41 km).
- In 2029, the construction work will continue with 200 km of internal roads. Yes, and these will come up in the areas of Hind 4 (39 km) and Al Yalayis 5 (161 km).
So, we can certainly expect that once this construction project is over, connectivity is going to be much better in Dubai.
