His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, turns 70 today! Here’s wishing our ruler a very very happy birthday!
The Indian community in the UAE gifted the ruler a personalized gift, marking his 70th birthday. On behalf of the 3.5 million Indians living in the UAE, 13-year old Suchetha Satish composed a song for HH Sheikh Mohammed. Suchetha holds a record for singing the most number of songs in 102 languages in 6 hours and 15 minutes.
The renowned singer teamed up with Monty Sharma and Emirati poet, Dr Shihab Ghanem composed a 4 minute, 45 second soulful Arabic song, praising the fifty year leadership of Sheikh Mohammed.
The song was released at the Indian consulate in Oud Maitha. The ceremony was graced by Suchetha, her parents, Monty, and Dubai resident Sudhakar Murthy. In a statement to Khaleej Times, Suchetha said: “Suchetha said: ” It is my dream that I along with my team can present this gift from the Indian community to Sheikh Mohammed in person.”
