Ahead of Ramadan, doctors have warned Umrah pilgrims of high infection risks. In fact, preventative measures have also been highlighted as pilgrim numbers are expected to be searched in the coming weeks.
2. Oman Is The Most Affordable GCC Country
In the recent cost of living index by Numbeo, it was revealed that Oman is the most affordable country in the Gulf Cooperation Council. Yes, this annual report has put the nation ahead of other countries. Yes, it is followed by Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE.
3. Hydrogen Power Buses In Makkah
Recently, the second trial of hydrogen fuel cell-powered buses was launched in Mekkah. As overseen by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and holy sites, this is in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy. Not to mention, the General Authority, the General Directorate of Civil Defense and the General Department of Traffic have also collaborated on this scheme with the aim of exploring hydrogen application and transportation, it seeks to raise public awareness of hydrogen technology.

4. Sheikha Latifa Attends UAE-Kuwait Week
The UAE-Kuwait Week is happening in Dubai and during the opening ceremony, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was also present. This is happening at the Emirates Towers and this is being organised by the UAE Ministry of Economy. It is in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Dubai Chambers, and also in partnership with the Consulate General of Kuwait.
5. Creative Media Authority And PopArabia Form A Two-Year Partnership
Specialised songwriting camps are coming to Abu Dhabi after the partnership of Creative Media Authority, and PopArabia. It positions the emirate as a Creative City of Music in the UNESCO creative network. Not to mention, it supports the growth of the UAE’s creative industry. The focus will be on urban, hip-hop, Afro, and pop music. In fact, the first camp CREATE in Abu Dhabi was held in 2024, and different camps are planned throughout 2025 and 2026.
6. Singapore Airlines Announces Return Of First Class & Premium Economy Class On Dubai Route
Recently, it was announced by Singapore Airlines that the First Class and Premium Economy Class experiences are returning on flights between Singapore and Dubai. It will be operating seven times in a week and will be done so by the Boeing 777-300. The configuration will be first, business, premium economy, and economy classes.
