Actor, travel vlogger and author Shenaz Treasury is no stranger to adventure. She is known for solo travelling across the globe and even signing up for adventures when she sees one. But little did she know that the biggest most unusual adventure she’d be entangled in was during a visit to Bombay Salad Co. in Mumbai’s Bandra West. Bit by a bat while dining with her friends, what followed was rabies injections, cancelled appointments and no apology from the named restaurant. Here’s her story.
Shenaz Treasury Slams Bombay Salad Co. For Bat Bite
Taking to Instagram, Shenaz Treasury left no stone unturned while sharing the mishap at Bombay Salad Co. In her Instagram story, she asked her followers if they’d be upset or freaked out if they spotted a bat in their food at a restaurant. Shenaz narrated the incident where a bat fell on her and bit and scratched her.
After the incident, the vlogger had to take three rabies injections and cancel her work schedule and travel plans. Despite the mishap that ensued, she stated that the restaurant didn’t offer her any apology for their negligence. She also claimed the staff didn’t offer to even take her to a doctor.
A video shows the actress holding her arm and laughing at the camera while pointing at a bat at her table. At the moment, she didn’t have a clue that she would have to take rabies injections to mitigate the risk of infection.

Cancels Travel Plans To Take Rabies Injections
Wearing a sleeveless top, Shenaz showed her bruised shoulder to the camera. “Bat bites usually leave two small, closely spaced puncture marks that may be less obvious than animal marks,” she wrote. The influencer who had a series of events to attend had to cancel them all to take her rabies injections in time, as a result of the incident.
She shared pictures of her prescriptions and informed her followers that she was supposed to leave for Baku for a climate change conference. Shenaz was invited to moderate a few sessions, a big honour for her. Unfortunately, she had to cancel her plans to take her second shot of the rabies injection. On November 16, she was to leave for the UAE for the Emirates Lit Fest to promote her book.

Since her third shot is due, she can’t attend this event as well. Both Baku and the UAE don’t have rabies injections as it isn’t common there. In light of the incident, Shenaz asked why bats, if they are so dangerous, are allowed on the premises of the Bombay Salad Co. Bats carry a lot of viruses and diseases, apart from being the cause of rabies, a fatal disease.
So, the actress showed her disappointment at the restaurant in dealing with the aftermath of the situation. Have you faced such mishaps while dining at restaurants?
