Sikka Art Festival 2025: 400+ Workshops, 40 Public Art Pieces, Theatre Shows & More To Expect At The 13th Edition In Dubai

The months of January and February in Dubai are quite busy. After all, the calendar is full of exciting events happening across the emirate for people with varied interests. One such annual event that’s returning on January 31 is the Sikka Art Design Festival. Yes, starting on Friday, here is all you need to know about the festival that’s happening for the second year at Al Shindagha.

The Sikka Art Design Festival Returns To Dubai

The Sikka Art Design Festival returns on January 31, and will be running till February 9. Ever since it was formed in 2011, the festival has certainly been in synonymous with Al Fahidi. However, the event was moved to Al Shindagha the previous year. For the 13th edition of this festival, it will be spread across 19 houses in the neighbourhood. Along with this, it will also be spread across its courtyard and along Dubai Creek.

An event, which is part of the Dubai Art Season, this festival will feature, exquisite installations, sculptures, and interactive spaces. Not to mention, there will be over 450 workshops, talks, and panel discussions that will be happening across eight days. In fact, a report by The National News also revealed that there will be 100 live performances, six orchestra performances, and 13 theatrical shows.

What Can You Expect At The Display?

Coming to the art, 40 public art pieces have been created by 15 artists from around the world will be displayed. People can visit The Urban House and The Design House. Besides this, there will also be 13 murals created by renowned artists that will be adorning the walls around the festival. This is a part of Dubai Culture’s Public Art Strategy, which aims to turn the city into an open and accessible art gallery.

Besides the brilliant art display, there will be several workshops that you wouldn’t want to miss. From learning the art of latte to lunchbox cake decoration, the training institute Sxill is leaving no stone unturned in teaching new things to the people. In fact, the Dubai Police is also hosting a workshop for children that will include works, tote bag colouring, and bookmark-making.

What About Food?

At the House of Saffron, a group of talented chefs will be serving delectable dishes to the visitors. Yes, 50 homegrown food and beverage businesses will be stationed at the festival to ensure attendees are satiated and brimming with energy to explore all that the festival has to offer. As it happens, tickets for the House of Saffron are priced at AED280 per person and there are only limited seats for every supper.
