Singham Again’s storyline revolves around the villain kidnapping the female lead. Arjun Kapoor shared that this film is a modern-day interpretation of Ramayana. In search of her and to bring her back home, the hero, played by Ajay Devgn, visits all around. In one of the trailer’s shots, a female voiceover can be heard saying this is the only temple in Sri Lanka dedicated to Sita Maa. It is none other than Seetha Amman Temple. Beautiful sights of this spiritual place have been shown in the trailer.
Seetha Amman Temple is around 8 km southeast of Nuwara Eliya. It is believed that Lord Hanuman left his footprints wherever he stepped. One such footprint is seen in the temple premises. According to ancient stories, Ravana kidnapped and kept Sita Maa at this place. The soil near the temple is black and devotees believe that Lord Hanuman burnt this area.
