Solo Traveller Shares 7 Dangerous Countries She Won’t Visit Again After Getting Almost Kidnapped

Why Did The Solo Traveller Term These Countries Dangerous?

TikToker Andrea BoldBody is a solo traveller who has travelled around the world. However, during a trip, she nearly got kidnapped in El Salvador, leading her to recommend unsafe countries where she would not return.

This solo traveller shared a video on TikTok and Instagram recommending seven dangerous countries for solo travellers to avoid.

In the caption of her Instagram post, the solo traveller also wrote that the list of the countries may offend some people, yet she wanted to share them with her thousands of followers. The caption also stated that she would not be visiting any of these locations again for her safety.

7 Dangerous Countries, According To The Solo Traveller

The first country she shared was San Salvador in El Salvador. San Salvador was the place where the solo traveller was almost kidnapped by two construction workers who attempted to pull her into their truck. Luckily for her, there were restaurants nearby, and people came to her rescue after hearing her scream. Such experiences can definitely frighten travellers.

The second country she shared was Paris, France. Well, no one ever thought that the ‘City of Love’ would be on this list, but it is. Andrea shared being nearly mugged twice on the subway, a shocking incident that occurred while police officers were present. The solo traveller was warned about pickpockets and advised not to travel alone at night.

The third country was Manila in the Philippines. Andrea shared feeling unsafe as the people of the hotel wouldn’t let her go out in a tank top because there were too many men outside, which made the environment unsafe.

The fourth country was Caye Caulker in Belize. Andrea mentioned feeling unsafe due to aggressive men at a destination, even resorting to pepper spraying to make them back off.

The fifth country is Cartagena in Columbia. The traveller was warned by police and locals not to take videos from her phone and not to go alone at night. She felt that the men were aggressive in their advancements.

The sixth and seventh countries she mentioned are Rome in Italy and Guayaquil in Ecuador.
