This multi-city roadshow serves as an essential tool in promoting travel and tourism to South Africa. It will also mark the unveiling of the tourism board’s year-long plan to engage with Indian travellers. Before the roadshow begins, there will be a panel discussion on February 11, followed by a gala for more than 150 key delegates. These events hope to bring focus to South Africa’s sights, sounds, culture, and cuisine.

This multi-city roadshow is in alignment with South African Tourism’s roadmap for the Indian market. Currently, India is one of the top three focus markets for the South African Tourism Board. Understanding this strategic importance, the tourism board continues to host annual roadshows to attract more and more travellers to the African nation. Furthermore, Indian travellers make up the largest consumer of adventure in South Africa.

The South African Tourism Board is also positive about the growing Indian market because of several ongoing diplomatic conversations. These include talks about improved accessibility through e-visa pilot programmes and direct air connectivity between the two nations. As of now, there are several stop-over flights between the two countries but not a single direct one.

Seeing the abundance of natural beauty of South Africa, we can understand why more and more people are happy to visit the Rainbow Nation!
