We await a year to welcome Maa Durga and celebrate the joy and grandeur of Durga Puja. We hope for prosperity, good news, and happiness during these auspicious occasions. In between all the grand celebrations in South Kolkata, Singhi Park became the talk of the town for members’ inhuman behaviours with a phuchka seller.

Singhi Park’s Members Threw A Phuchka Seller’s Stall

Digital creator and model Barnali Bag recorded a part of the horrifying incident and shared the video on her Instagram (@bellatrixofficial_15).

The video shows the helpless phuchkawala standing in front of his broken stall. According to the video and several comments, members of Singhi Park Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee allegedly kicked the small stall near the pandal and destroyed everything. Some glimpses of the video focus on a cane stand, a plastic bag full of phuchka, boiled potatoes, spices, small leaf plates, and everything essentially found at a phuchka shop thrown on the ground.

The disheartened and scared vendor requested Singhi Park members with folded hands. He pleaded to stop trashing his belongings, said he would go away, and not open his phuchka stall at this location near the pandal. However, no one listened to his requests and destroyed everything. Barnali also added that these members tried to go against people who were protesting this miserable act.

Seeing the phuchka seller suffering a huge loss, some good-hearted people helped him with some money and stood for him in that situation. Since yesterday, the video has been going viral like crazy on all social media platforms. Infuriated Netizens are slamming the committee members for this cruel behaviour. Many people are demanding “Boycott Singhi Park” in the comment section.
