Good news, travel buffs! Spain is finally ready to welcome foreign tourists from 1st July 2020. Presently, people who are coming to Spain from abroad need to quarantine themselves for a period of two weeks. The government is planning to put an end to this policy from 1st July onwards, to reopen the country for foreign tourists. Foreign Minister Arancha González recently took to Twitter to announce in Spanish, “The worst is behind us. In July, we will gradually open to international tourists, lift the quarantine measures and ensure the highest standards of health and safety.” Read on!
Spain To Reopen For International Tourists
International tourism makes up about 12 percent of the total GDP of Spain. As per reports, Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced that foreign tourists can now plan their holidays. After the drop in the number of new cases, lockdown restrictions have eased down in various parts of Spain. The government has now allowed people to step out, go for a walk and indulge in outdoor exercises. However, to ensure that the number of cases remain in control, it is mandatory for each person to wear a mask.

Spanish Football League To Resume Business
The Spanish football league will re-start its business on 8th July, but without any audience. It might open doors for spectators later, depending on the conditions. However, many major Spanish festivals like the Bull Running Festival and La Tomatina, which were scheduled to take place in July and August respectively, have been cancelled this year.
