SpiceJet Flight From Dubai Lands In Pune Without Luggage; 140 Passengers Left Furious

On Thursday morning, around 140 passengers on a Dubai-Pune SpiceJet flight were left shocked when they discovered that the airline had not loaded their luggage at Dubai Airport. According to the passengers on board, they received no clear response from the airline and their luggage was not delivered to Pune Airport till late Thursday night.

Dubai-Pune SpiceJet Flight Lands Without Passengers’ Luggage

As per a Hindustan Times report, Pune-bound SpiceJet flight SG 52/937 from Dubai landed in the city without the luggage of passengers on board. This shocking revelation left the passengers furious. Many of them took to social media platforms like X to share their unfortunate experience with the airline.

The Dubai-Pune flight was scheduled to depart from Dubai at 12:05 AM. However, it was delayed and only took off around 2 AM on Thursday. The flight arrived at the Pune airport at around 6:40 AM. Already irritated by the delay, the passengers were furious when they learnt about their baggage being left behind.

Boudhayan Sarbajna, a Pune resident whose wife was flying on the Dubai-Pune SpiceJet flight, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his displeasure with the situation. He was shocked by SpiceJet’s “pathetic service” and even urged the DGCA to take appropriate action in the situation.

Passengers Complain There Were No Clear Updates By The Airline

While talking to Hindustan Times, Boudhayan shared that his wife and the other passengers on the Dubai-Pune SpiceJet flight were left without any belongings as the flight landed without luggage. He mentioned that the passengers had tried calling and emailing the airline’s customer service for support but had not received a response. They filed a complaint at the airport but didn’t receive any formal acknowledgement for it either.

While the airline has yet to give a formal explanation for the entire issue, their customer service replied to Boudhayan’s complaint on X. It said, “Hi Boudhayan, kindly share the complaint copy via DM, which must be raised at the airport so that we may check and advise. Further, the customer care lines are working fine & calls are getting connected. However, the same is taking time due to extensive call flow. We regret any inconvenience caused.
