Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, explored Japan in Mumbai with the most talented actor, Ali Fazal. Ali Fazal and Kamiya had earlier explored Carter Road, and this time, they teamed up to hunt down Mumbai’s best Japanese food spots. In this fun-filled episode of Tere Gully Mein, Ali opened up like never before. We even played a fun game with him where we asked him a few questions, and if he lied or denied answering it, he had to eat some wasabi. Crazy, right? Let’s see how it went down.
Ali Fazal And His Hidden Secrets
Our first stop for sushi and ramen was Mirai: Japanese & Korean Dining in Mumbai. Kamiya told Ali that they were going to make a hotpot on the stove, which was kept at the table. To which Ali jokingly replied, “Itni fancy jagah aake bhi matlab hum hi cooking kare.” As soon as the sushi arrived, the duo started talking about wasabi, and Kamiya came up with a game and added a fun twist to it. Kamiya started the game by asking Ali about a lie he told and was later caught for. Ali Fazal replied that he had told a lie but didn’t get caught, and the lie was, ‘The film was really good.’ Shocked by his answer, Kamiya asked him to name the film, but Ali refused to spill the beans and risk controversy.
During the game, he even revealed that he mistakenly liked the old post of Lady Gaga while stalking her Instagram profile. When Kamiya asked Ali about one thing he pretends to enjoy but actually can’t stand, he replied, “So many people’s company!” His answer made everyone laugh out loud. The game definitely brought out Ali’s fun side and was a delight to watch as he revealed his hidden secrets.

He Talked About The One Dish Made By Richa
In the middle of the game, Kamiya asked Ali Fazal whether he loves to cook or not. He shared that he cooks occasionally and enjoys cooking with Richa. In fact, Ali enjoys it more than Richa does. When Kamiya asked him to name a dish made by her that he didn’t like, Ali recalled a funny incident involving one of Richa’s cooking disasters. He said, “She made a sweet dish which went horribly wrong, and she also invited Fukrey’s team to the house and kuch toh bhi jello-vello banaya tha jo dur-dur tak jello nahi tha, wo monster type tha.” Ali even gave Richa a review of the horrible dish, but did it in the most romantic way possible.
