Sri Lanka Is Set To Offer Visa-Free Access To Indians & 34 Countries

It looks like the perfect time to plan a trip to this alluring neighbouring country soon. The Sri Lankan government recently announced the news of allowing visa-free entry for Indian passport holders and residents of 34 other countries in different parts of the world. This announcement implies that permitted international tourists will be able to enter and explore Sri Lanka for a definite time by following all necessary guidelines.

The policy of Sri Lanka offering visa-free access will come into action on October 31, 2024, as stated by Daily Mirror newspaper. Residents from India, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and more countries will be eligible to explore the Asian country without the mandated requirement to present their visas. The new decision of visa-free travel will remain effective for six months.

The decision to allow visa-free access to residents of 35 counties has a significant goal. It is expected to welcome more international travellers to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka waived visa fees and announced a free visa travel policy for visitors from India, Japan, Thailand, and 4 other countries in October 2023.
