A SriLankan Airline flight recently made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Wednesday evening. Taking off from Colombo, the plane had more than 140 passengers on board. Unfortunately, the flight had to make an emergency landing at the Delhi airport because of a sudden issue. This Is Why The SriLankan Airlines Flight Made The Landing
The plane took off from Colombo with over 140 passengers. The air travel was going well until a problem was noticed. The flight had to make an emergency airport at the Delhi report because of a hydraulic problem, according to a report by the Economic Times. It was during the evening hours of 23 August, when the plane landed at the runway of the Delhi airport.

A full emergency was announced in the airport premises at about 5 PM on Wednesday. The flight faced an issue with the hydraulic and hence had to make this emergency landing. SriLankan Airlines did not provide any information or statement on the unfortunate landing right after the incident.
News Of Flights Making Emergency Landing Are Frequent
If you read news about the aviation industry, you might have noticed that incidents related to making emergency landings are reported quite often these days. Not just the SriLankan Airlines Flight, there has been news of another flight making an emergency landing at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport recently. An IndiGo flight from Varanasi did the same on 22 August. The IndiGo flight 6E-2232 with more than 160 passengers faced a hydraulic issue and had to land at the Delhi airport. On Tuesday, a full emergency was declared at the airport. IndiGo did not make any statement immediately after the incident.
Another IndiGo flight also made an emergency landing on Monday. The Ranchi-bound IndiGo flight from Mumbai landed at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur because of one of the onboard passengers’ health concerns. A 62-year-old passenger began vomiting blood en route and passed away.
