Say yay or neigh to Mumbai’s newest, British-Style Gastropub – The Stables in Marol, Andheri East.
What Is It?
Mumbai has recently fallen in love with concept restaurants and Dubai’s The Stables is here to join the bandwagon (or pull it maybe!).
This is an equestrian-themed restaurant with classic British styled ambiance. Located in Andheri East, its really close to the airport. Unlike any of your average neighbourhood bars, The Stables has a quiet zest to it. Think rustic chandeliers, vintage holders, soft lighting and a cosy vibe. The interiors are straight out of Victorian magazine. The upper floor has more of a wild west theme going on.
The Stables also has live gigs and performances. I can almost see Ed Sheeran croon out his tunes in the space. It just seems so perfect. The music compliments the food, drinks and ambiance perfectly.

The Food
Pulled pork sandwich, lamb burger, tuna and corn sandwich, lamb shank, pan seared cod fish with pesto and champagne cream, shepherd’s pie, Cajun chicken burger, lamb sliders, BBQ glazed pork ribs, BBQ chicken pizza – the list is endless! The Stables is a meat eater’s paradise.
However, that’s not to take away from a great vegetarian menu which includes veg sliders, loaded potato skins, sizzling fajitas and more.
We’d recommend the place more for meat eaters than the vegetarians. Also, a special shout out to what can easily be called the best butter popcorn in the city.

The Drinks
An extensive bar menu and fun cocktails awaits you at The Stables. We suggest you gallop straight to the’ Sweet Mouth’ made of vodka, Amaretto, Baileys, Kahlua, Brandy, Orange Curaçao , milk and fresh cream. Another great drink is the Stables Grog, a rum based cocktail with pineapple, lemon juice, passion syrup and angostura bitter.
