As everyone welcomes the new year with a rocking celebration, it’s no secret that people hardly want to wake up early next morning to report for work. Ensuring people have a splendid start to the year, it was recently announced that people in the UAE will have a holiday on Monday, January 1, 2024.

Paid Holiday For Workers In The UAE On January 1

According to the latest notification released by the government, it was provided that it will be a paid holiday for UAE workers in the private sector on New Year’s Day. Yes, as revealed by the Ministry of Human Resource and Emiratisation, Monday will be a holiday and this decision has certainly brought a lot of happiness to the people. As such, the decision is also in line with the UAE Cabinet resolution regarding approved public holidays for the government and private sector.

As it happens, recently it was also announced that federal government employees will also be getting a holiday on January 1. Yes, announced on Thursday, on December 21, it was revealed that the Federal Authority of Government Human Resources has declared a paid holiday for its workers. So, what this means is that the government employees will be able to enjoy a long weekend next week.

How Many Public Holidays Can You Expect In 2024?

In case you’re wondering about all the public holidays in 2024, according to the list announced by the country’s cabinet the previous month, there will be at least 13 public holidays the next year. This means that you will get several paid holidays that you can use to spend time with your loved ones. Moreover, four of the seven official locations might just end up being a long weekend with the longest one, this time being a six-day break. If you’ve been aiming to take a trip next year, now is the time to begin planning for the same!
