1. Mild Tremors Felt In Gujarat
An earthquake of 3.3 magnitude hit Gujarat’s Kutch district at 12:12 am. Yes, the epicentre was recorded to be 22 km southeast of Khavda, according to the Gandhinagar-based institute. However, it’s worth noting that there was no damage to the property nor were any casualties reported.

The Election Commission of India in its press conference, announced the dates for the General Election 2024 and Lok Sabha Elections 2024. It was also revealed that this time around, there will be 1.82 crore first-time voters in these elections. Moreover, State Assembly elections for the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be held at the same time as the Parliamentary Elections 2024. To be conducted in seven phases, the first phase will be on April 19 and the last one being on June 1.
3. 3D Mapping Begins For State-Of-The-Art Urban Management Of Mumbai

The BMC took to its official account on X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that it has commenced the project ‘3D mapping’. This is for the state-of-the-art urban management of Mumbai and was inaugurated by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs) Mrs. Ashwini Bhide. As such, it will be conducted with the help of geospatial technology and will cover a total area of 500 square kilometres.
4. 44 Trains On Tambaram Route Cancelled
The Southern Railways has cancelled 44 trains on the Kodambakkam to Tambaram Route. This means it’s going to be quite a hassle for people travelling to the city and back. This is especially true for those living in the suburban areas. As it happens, these trains were cancelled between 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, for track work as a part of the building a terminal.

5. Air India Express Begins Direct Flights To Muscat & Dammam
Air India Express has finally begun direct flights to Muscat and Dammam on Saturday, March 16. This will be from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) in Lucknow! The first flight to Muscat took off with 77 passengers while for Dammam it took off with 171 passengers. With the addition of these two international flights, the total number of international flights at the Lucknow airport has risen to 30.
