India’s In World Cup: When Will India Play In FIFA World Cup?

In a conversation with Curly Tales Middle East Editor Kamiya Jani, Sunil Chhetri said, “When I am not sure, but I’d like everyone in the country to see us as soon as possible. One thing I know is that we will be there. When I don’t know, we are making the movement in the right direction. It is going to take some time. It’s not easy. Just to give you a small idea, we have to be in the 1st 10 of Asia and stay there. The top 5 countries play the World Cup right now, it will change to eight soon. So, that gives a realistic chance. So, once we’re in the top 10, the whole country will know when we’re going to play.”

Sunil Chhetri says, “For me, I am really excited to watch is how the Asian teams are going to perform. I am really looking forward to it. Year after year when the world cup happens, the Asian teams are doing well. They are our role models, immediate role models, as to what they’re doing. So, I’m really excited to watch them and I just hope they have a wonderful world cup.”
