The first Spar supermarket was opened in 2012 after SPAR International granted a licence to Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society (ADCOOPS). The Dutch-owned store operates three SPAR formats: SPAR Hypermarket, SPAR Supermarket and SPAR Express. Spar has several outlets across the UAE, but it was only recently that Dubai got its first Spar supermarket in Al Barsha. There are now 31 Spars in the UAE, with four added in 2018.What’s It?
