The Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express is a new fast train connecting Surat in Gujarat to Udaipur in Rajasthan. Bookings for the train have now opened, and it will run six days a week, except Tuesdays. Here’s everything you need to know about booking, timings and journey duration.

Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Bookings Are Now Open


Commuters now have a direct semi-high-speed link between South Gujarat and Rajasthan. Western Railway recently announced on its official X account that bookings are now open for journeys on Train No. 26903/26904. The regular Surat-Udaipur service will start operating from October 4, 2026, and will run six days a week, except on Tuesdays. 

Passengers can book seats at Passenger Reservation System counters and on the IRCTC website. Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek shared with News18 that this new Vande Bharat train will help improve connectivity between South Gujarat and Rajasthan. People travelling for business or a holiday will now have a faster option for their journeys. Textile and diamond traders heading to Udaipur from Surat are also likely to benefit from the new train.

Complete Journey Takes Just 7.5 Hours

Now, let’s come to the timings. According to News18, the journey would take 7.5 hours and cover around 690 km.

  • Train 26903 will leave Surat at 6:10 am and reach Udaipur at 1:40 pm on the same day.
  • Train 26904 will leave Udaipur at 3:35 pm and arrive in Surat at 11 pm.

In both directions, the trains will make nine stops at these stations:

  1. Bharuch
  2. Vadodara
  3. Anand
  4. Maninagar
  5. Asarva (Ahmedabad)
  6. Himmatnagar
  7. Shamlaji Road
  8. Dungarpur
  9. Zawar

The train will consist of Executive Chair Car and AC Chair Car coaches. Fares have not been announced yet, but they will be displayed at the time of booking on the website or at the PRS counters.
