Recently, the popular travel magazine, Travel + Leisure, has released a list of the world’s best airports. The list is a result of a thorough survey conducted by the magazine on their reader’s opinions. According to an article published on their website, a total of 1,65,000 readers completed this survey and the data was used to generate the list. Mumbai airport is the only Indian airport which was featured in the list.
Mumbai Airport Ranks 4th In The List Of World’s Best Airports
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport or the CSMIA, which is also known as Mumbai Airport is the only Indian airport that has made the list. It bagged the fourth position on the list with a reader score of 86.47.
The survey asked the readers to rate airports based on their accessibility, check-in or security services, bars or restaurants available, shopping availability, and design. In each of these categories, the readers were asked to choose between poor, below average, average, above average, and excellent.
These scores were then averaged as their final score. The Singapore Airport bagged the first spot on the list with a reader score of 94.42. Each year, Travel + Leisure accords World’s Best Awards to cruises, airports, hotels, etc., based on its surveys.
