It won’t be an exaggeration if I say that online food delivery platforms are saviours. Be it in the morning or at night, we can simply place an order of anything we like to eat and get it delivered to our doorstep. To avail of these services, we need to pay a delivery charge. But sometimes, we even get it for free. Well, a customer faced some issues with the delivery fee on Swiggy and he complained about it online.

A Customer Had To Pay ₹111 As A Delivery Fee

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Sandeep Reddy Ramidi (@sandeep_ramidi) shared how Swiggy charged ₹111 for a food delivery that he ordered on Saturday.

The user shared how he has ordered food from the same restaurant two times this week— on December 19 and 23. Sandeep had a Swiggy One membership. In the social media post, he also mentioned that the delivery location for both orders was also the same.

For his first delivery on December 19, he ordered 1 Chicken Puff costing ₹30 and 1 Chicken 65 costing ₹140. His total bill was ₹182 including the platform fee of ₹3 and taxes of ₹9.04. The delivery fee was free for his first order of the week on the Swiggy platform.

Coming to his second order of the week on December 23, he ordered 1 plate of Chicken Schezwan Noodles costing ₹110 and 1 Chicken Lolipop of ₹55. The bill total was ₹288 including the platform fee of ₹3, taxes of 8.79, and a delivery partner fee of ₹111. He took to the X (formerly Twitter) platform to complain about the high delivery fee of his second order.
