It’s an absolute bummer to wait eagerly for your food to be delivered only to receive the wrong order. While this may have happened to many of us, for some of us, it’s extremely disheartening. As per some recent posts on X (formerly Twitter) many customers over the last few days complained about receiving non-vegetarian food despite ordering vegetarian food on Swiggy.
Swiggy Customers Complain About Mistakenly Getting Non-Veg Food Instead Of Veg Order
A glance at the recent complaints received by Swiggy on X and there are many customers disheartened on receiving non-vegetarian food. X user Baljit Singh slammed Swiggy InstaMart and urged his followers to avoid using Swiggy as it can “hurt your religious sentiments”. He claimed he has never eaten non-vegetarian food to date. And he was angered to receive a packet of “Spiced Chicken” Cup Noodles from the brand. The only solution he received was a refund. He posted snapshots of his bill which showed all vegetarian order.
Another person Anuj stated he ordered Veg Biryani from Xero Courtyard Ludhiana but received non-veg biryani instead. He shared pictures of what seemingly looks like chicken biryani as proof. @Purushottam2023 who had ordered vegetarian Hakka Noodles and Chilli Garlic Noodles was also disappointed for the same reason.
Another X user Harshit Shukla said Swiggy mistakenly delivered non-vegetarian food to a pure vegetarian family and then asked them to send photographs of the non-veg food during the redressal process.
Anubhav Raj shared videos and photos of the non-veg dish he received instead of his Paneer Do Pyaza order.
Vivek Kumar was upset with the brand for delivering a meat dish to his pure vegetarian family who have been following religious rituals during the holy month of Shravan.
Apart From Refund Netizens Demand Sincere Apology
Abhi said he was uninstalling the app for a lifetime for hurting his sentiments for the same reason.
Many customers are unhappy with the brand for just compensating them with a refund, rather than taking serious accountability for their hurting their sentiments. Customers even asked on X what were they supposed to do with the non-vegetarian food as nobody in their household ate it.
