Zomato, one of the leading food delivery platforms in India, is known for also delivering hilarious comebacks and witty social media posts. They recently shared an exchange, presumably a fabricated one, wherein a customer contacted their helpline for her fish fry order. Their response to the customer incited a lot of positive reactions and funny responses. This is because it was a rip-off of the viral trend “Ek Machhli Paani Mein Gayi Chhapaak.”

Zomato recently shared a hilarious exchange between their customer service rep and a customer on X (formerly known as Twitter). The exchange, which is presumably fabricated and not a real one, was about the customer’s order of Fish Fry.
The customer messages saying that they accidentally put in the wrong address and would now need help regarding their order. The customer service representative asks for the details of the order and the customer says “1 Fish Fry.”
This is where the exchange takes a funny turn. Inspired by the viral “Ek Machhli Paani Mein Gayi Chhapaak,” the service rep responds by saying, “Paani mein gayi” (went into the water). The customer, too, continues the trend and says, “Chhapaak.”

This exchange brought a wave of funny reactions from Netizens. Many found the exchange hilarious and lauded Zomato for it. Others jokingly said that if Zomato responded in this way to them, then they would simply switch to Swiggy.

One commenter joked and said that it was a prepaid order so the money, too, went into the water, hilariously adding another funny layer to the joke. Since it was first shared, the post has garnered more than 339 thousand views.
