Following the footsteps of Zepto, food delivery aggregator Swiggy has launched ‘Cafe’ to deliver beverages and snacks in just 15 minutes. This service is currently in its pilot stage, available in a few localities in Bengaluru. Read on to learn more about Swiggy Cafe.
Swiggy ‘Cafe’ To Deliver Quick Bites In Just 15 Min
As per a report by Inc42, the IPO-bound food delivery giant Swiggy’s latest offering is ‘Cafe’. This is Swiggy’s second attempt at quick deliveries of snacks after it launched Instacafe in early 2023. Instacafe was piloted to deliver pre-made food, snacks and groceries through its dark stores in certain areas of Bengaluru.
With Swiggy Cafe, customers can order coffee, protein bars, tea and milkshakes from brands like The Whole Truth and the popular coffee house Blue Tokai. Apart from branded bites and drinks, customers can also order non-branded food items on the app. However, do note, that this new ‘Cafe’ option is not available under Instamart. It can be availed of under the food delivery option on Swiggy.
Like Zomato’s large order fleet, Swiggy is also piloting a large order fleet. This will first be introduced in the Delhi NCR region. Apart from this, the app also introduced an ‘incognito mode’ for private ordering. This is especially helpful to give your loved ones surprises.
Swish, Another App For Quick Food Deliveries
Founded earlier in August this year, Swish is a startup that promised its patrons 10-minute deliveries. These instant deliveries have disrupted the Indian e-commerce market. According to a story by Inc42, Swish has Pod, a cloud kitchen in HSR where dishes are prepared fresh and delivered to the doorsteps of consumers living within a 1.5 km radius. Co-founder Aniket Shah stated to Inc42 that they believe consumers will prefer quick food deliveries in the years to come.
