Tabreed Adorns Its Al Maryah Island With Street Art!

The company’s Al Maryah Island facility provides crucial district cooling services to a long list of satisfied customers. And now, it is home to a masterpiece inspired by nature! The idea was proposed by the company’s senior management. It would be a perfect canvas for a new piece of art, the kind for which Abu Dhabi has recently gained an admirable reputation around the world.

The work was finished earlier than expected on April 20. The company’s Strategic Communications department promptly got in touch with a number of regional artists. Three boom cranes were used, raising the painters 35 metres above the ground to reach the 7,140 louvred panels that needed painting. In fact, 7.2 square kilometres had been worked on by the time the area was cleaned, prepped, and painted.

Over 4,800 Gallons Of Paint & 52 Distinct Hues Used To Create This!

More than 4,800 gallons of paint were utilised over 47 working days to reproduce the artist’s vision using 52 distinct hues. When design ideas were requested, the well-known, self-taught Emirati artist Saggaf Alhashmi was selected for his magnificent “3D” concept that showcased the Arabian Oryx and Arabian Sand Gazelle, two of the most well-known inhabitants of the United Arab Emirates. The artist further described his creative process by stating that the island is an inspiration behind the mural. In fact, the artwork is a celebration of the connection between the oasis of life and Tabreed’s current usage of water and air to cool the island by bringing the Al Mariyah deer to Al Maryah Island.

According to Khaled Al Qubaisi, Chairman at Tabreed, the result is extraordinary. They have created a work of great beauty that will delight everyone. Further, transformed what was once an ordinary, functional structure. Saggaf’s concept was carefully translated to surfaces, and it was a Herculean challenge.
