Tahir Raj Bhasin Feels Cheat Meals Are Good For You

Tahir Raj Bhasin is quite fit and like most actors, keeps a healthy diet. But on Sundays, the actor enjoys cheat meals and binges on his favourite food! During a recent Khaane Me Kya Hai episode, Tahir mentioned that cheat days are important.

While enjoying a hearty meal, he said that cheat meals make your “system appreciate what it’s set for.” He feels that if one just eats boiled vegetables, rice, and chicken, then chances are their “system would rebel out of boredom.” So, to prevent that, he makes sure to treat himself with his favourite food on Sundays.

He even mentioned that John Abraham has been a fitness inspiration for him. While working with him in Force 2, John advised Tahir to make simple life changes to stay fit. He mentioned things like the quantity of food one eats and how much water one drinks can greatly affect their fitness.

What Experts Feel About Cheat Meals

Eating healthy is good for your body. However, eating food based on a diet can also cause feelings of loss. After speaking to several health experts, The Indian Express reported that cheat meals actually help people maintain their diet in the longer run. This is because taking a break from the diet helps people get a psychological break from similar food and makes them feel happy from within.

Experts say that cheat meals boost the levels of leptin in your body. This hormone helps notify the brain when you are hungry and in turn. When you’re on a similar diet for too long, your metabolism slows down, so by indulging in a cheat meal, you’re actually allowing your body’s metabolism to improve.
