Tamannaah Bhatia joined us for this fun-filled episode of Sunday Brunch X The Bombay Journey with her other two co-stars of ‘Jee Karda’, Aashim Gulati and Suhail Nayyar. Curly Tales’s Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, and Mashable India’s Siddharth Aalambayan took them through Lowel Parel and Bandra in ŠKODA SLAVIA. Did you know Tamannaah can speak many languages and has worked outside of Bollywood?
How Many Languages Does Tamannaah Bhatia Know?
Just as this episode began, we discussed Tamannaah’s career. She shared, ‘Jee Karda’ was her first Hindi OTT series. This prompted Kamiya to ask her about what other languages she is well versed in. She replied, “I speak Tamil and Telugu, I speak Hindi and English and Sindhi a little bit,” when she was interrupted by Siddharth speaking a couple of lines in Telugu. She was surprised to hear him speak in Telugu.
Then she went on to converse a little in the Sindhi language with our Sindhi girl, Kamiya Jani. Tamannaah also revealed that she made her debut in the Malayalam industry with an action film, ‘Bandra’ that was released in November last year. She is truly a multi-lingual gal!

Though Her Hindi Diction Is Not Of Mumbai
Kamiya asked Tamannaah Bhatia about some of the Mumbai slang she was aware of. She laughed and told us that she was the wrong person to ask this question to. To elaborate on this she said, “Main Mumbai ki hoon beshak but maine itna travel kara hai ki main kahi ki nahi rahi.”
She means that she is a Mumbai girl through and through but she has travelled so much and picked up other languages on the way that at this point she is basically from nowhere.
Suhail commented that Tamannaah’s diction is extremely clear and to this, she said that her Hindi speaking style isn’t similar to the one that people speak in Mumbai. Therefore, someone can’t categorise her as a Mumbai gal from the way she speaks. Perks of being multilingual!
