Kamiya Jani Takes A Gedi Around Mumbai With King

Whether it’s his songwriting skills or rapping abilities, King always strikes a chord with the masses. And in the latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, we got to take a spin around Mumbai with him, and safe to say, the vibe was unbeatable! As we drove across the city, he shared how during his days on MTV Hustle, he would often sneak out at night and sit on Marine Drive to just enjoy the city lights. In his own words, he loves driving around Mumbai at night. In fact, he says that if time wasn’t such an issue, he would take his car everywhere.

When you spot a Delhi boy in Mumbai, drawing a comparison between the two cities is obvious. However, for King, both the cities have their own charm. While Delhi is home, even Mumbai has become close to his heart now. For him, Mumbai and Goa evenings are simply unmatchable!

But did you know that before taking the musical route, King played football at the national level? He revealed that music was never really in the background when he was young and playing Under-17 at the national level. However, he had a moment of realisation and the rest is well, history!

Before he gained popularity with his music videos and MTV Hustle, King shared that he used to share his music on his YouTube channel and other social media platforms while still in school. He even spoke about how working with established rappers like Badshah and Raftaar has fueled his creativity and made him want to work harder.

When we asked him about how he likes to write his songs, he shared that ideas of music can strike him anywhere. However, while writing the lyrics, he prefers a quieter place. He also shared that he now wants to make music that is not just cool but also has a good intent. While his music is full of emotions, he shares that he never really went through a heartbreak or anything but simply drew inspiration from people around him.
