Akasa Air has relocated all its operations to Terminal 1 (T1) at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The shift comes in response to scheduled maintenance work at Terminal 2 of the airport. Akasa Air Moves Operations To T1 At IGI Airport, Delhi
Effective April 15, 2025, Akasa Air shifted its operations to T1 at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, until further notice. According to a press release by the airline, the airline is working closely with the airport authorities to ensure that passengers continue to enjoy a seamless boarding experience.
The airline is also actively communicating with customers regarding this change to keep them informed. Furthermore, to make the travel experience smoother, Akasa Air is also encouraging passengers to take advantage of the carrier’s online check-in options, available at www.akasaair.com and via the Akasa Air mobile app.
Earlier, IndiGo also announced that they would be shifting operations from T2 of the Delhi Airport to T1, effective April 15. According to The Economic Times, only IndiGo and Akasa Air were operating flights from Terminal 2. With T2’s scheduled maintenance and the reopening of T1, flight operations of both airlines have completely shifted to T1.

T1 Faces Technical Issues On Reopening Day
According to reports, on the very first day of shifting operations from T2, passengers flying in and out of Indira Gandhi International Airport’s T1 faced some delays and inconvenience. This was due to a technical issue that disrupted the check-in process.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) promptly issued a passenger advisory acknowledging the disruption. In a statement, they said, “We experienced a technical issue at T1 check-in. Our teams along with stakeholders are resolving it and operations are normalising. We regret the inconvenience caused.”
