Thai Street Food On The Skies

For many travellers, food is an essential part of the cultural experience. Thai Airways ensures that passengers can begin their culinary journey as soon as they board the plane. It is revamping its in-flight Economy Class menu by adding local dishes that reflect the country’s diverse food culture. Partnering with Dusit Thani, a leading hospitality group known for its commitment to Thai culture and cuisine, the airline’s new initiative offers passengers an authentic taste of Thailand. This monthly rotating menu promises to keep the in-flight dining experience fresh, varied, and exciting. Travellers departing from Bangkok can savour the flavours of renowned local eateries.

The initiative, titled “Streets to Sky,” is more than just a culinary upgrade. It is also an effort to promote Thailand’s vibrant street food culture and give small, local businesses a platform to reach an international audience. The program brings Thailand’s much-loved street food directly to passengers, offering them the chance to enjoy dishes created by chefs from iconic restaurants. In its initial phase, Thai Airways will introduce four standout dishes each month, all carefully chosen to highlight different regional flavours of Thailand. These dishes are set to capture the essence of Thai cuisine and elevate the in-flight dining experience for passengers travelling in Economy Class.
