On its site, Agoda examined hotel searches made over the two weeks that followed the publication of the match schedule in comparison to the two weeks before. And Ahmedabad has seen a 1702 per cent surge in searches for accommodation! The competition runs from October 5 until November 19, 2023.
Agoda Witnessed A 1702% Surge For Stays In Ahmedabad!
Following the highly anticipated Cricket World Cup 2023, online travel agency Agoda has seen a 1702 per cent increase in searches for accommodations in Ahmedabad. This increase can be ascribed to the much anticipated India vs. Pakistan game and the championship match. And both of these will take place in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The sporting event has caused a 237 per cent increase in total searches for the host cities across India since it was announced.
While Ahmedabad emerged as the clear fan choice, search volume in the host towns of Dharamshala, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Pune also increased throughout the match days. In addition, cricket is not only the most popular sport in India but also has undeniable appeal to followers around the world.

Agoda Country Director for India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives Krishna Rathi commented on this pattern. He stated that they are happy to see the passion of cricket fans for the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023. The World Cup is one of many recent live events and international sports competitions.
