Bahrain is a beautiful country with a lot of work opportunities for people across the world. A flourishing market, which is generally considered to be welcoming to skilled people, many who visit Bahrain on a visit visa tend to fall in love with the country’s work culture and opportunities. And if you also happen to be someone who is visiting Bahrain, but wishes to work there, then you will have to pay a fee and follow certain steps for procuring and converting your visit visa into a work visa. After all, the country has increased the fee for conversion to BHD250.
Visit Visa To Work Visa Conversion Fee Increased To BHD250
The Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs announced this year that the fee for converting Bahrain’s visit visa to a work visa has been increased to BHD250. Not to mention, getting this converted is no longer possible without a sponsor. Any individual, therefore, who holds this Bahrain-sponsored visa can get it converted if they receive an employment offer from either the same sponsor or a qualifying dependent of such an entity.
Steps To Convert Your Visa
So, if you are also wondering how you can convert your visit visa into a work visa, make sure to follow the important steps that are given below.
You must first secure an employment offer before you can begin the conversion process.
For this process, you will need a variety of documents. This includes a valid passport, letter of employment or job offer from the sponsor, your visit visa details, documents required by Bahrain’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and of course medical clearance certificate.
Once all the documents have been secured, the sponsor will then submit the visa conversion application to Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs. They will then be handling this process on your behalf.
So, after you submit the application, it will be reviewed by the NPRA and the processing time can vary, so make sure to apply before your visit visa expires.
