And now, you can experience this from a great vantage point as the new cable car service has begun in the country for the first time and here is all we need to know about this.

First Cable Car In Jordan Welcomed By People!

It was only recently that the first cable car was inaugurated in Jordan! Called Ajloun Teleferique, this one-of-a-kind project was created by royal decree. According to a report by the Arab News, ever since its opening, visitors are landing here in large numbers. They are visiting the Northern city of Ajloun, which is located in the Highlands of Northern Jordan. So, this cable car is giving people a chance to experience the astounding panoramic views of the mountainous landscape. In fact, it’s been so high in demand that over 20,000 people rode this cable car in the first 10 days of its inauguration! Not to mention, during the Eid al-Adha holidays, nearly 2,500 to 3,000 people used the cable car every day.

Talking about this cable car, it’s located around 70 km Northwest of Oman and has been open to the public since mid-June. A popular hotspot amongst visitors from across the country, people are loving the experience. The report also quoted many visitors who were in awe of the breathtaking experience that let them see the green mountain and Ajloun Castle from such a brilliant vantage point. It should be noted that this cable car system covers a distance of 2.5 kilometres in 10 minutes. Yes, it begins from Eshtafina forest and the ride terminates at Ajloun Castle, which is about 1,250 metres above sea level. Additionally, the cost of the return journey is JOD4.
