It was not long ago that the UAE announced holiday dates for the public sector. And now, Dubai has also announced the dates for the Eid al-Fitr holidays for schools, universities, and nurseries. On April 8, the holidays will be extended to Sunday, April 14. Here’s everything about it!

Knowledge & Human Development Authority Announces Eid Holidays In Dubai

According to an announcement made by the Knowledge & Human Development Authority, it was revealed that schools, nurseries, and universities will be closed from Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14. Not to mention, regular working hours will begin on April 15, Monday. This comes after public holidays were also declared in the UAE from Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14.

Private Sector Holiday Dates Also Announced In The UAE

As it happens, the MoHRE also announced holiday dates for the private sector. Yes, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiritisation announced that there is a holiday from April 8 to Shawwal 3 or whatever is equivalent to in the Gregorian calendar will be a paid holiday. So, if Ramadan lasts for 29 days there will be six consecutive days of holidays. It’s worth noting that the duration of the holiday will depend on the moon sighting.

As it happens, Sharjah has also announced an extended holiday for Eid. This is for government departments and agencies, wherein the Sharjah Human Resources Department announced that the holidays will be from April 8 to 14.

So, with the holiday dates now out, you can finally start making plans for Eid with your friends and family. Not to mention, it’s also a great time to visit your extended family, if they don’t live near your house, as you will have ample time to spend the festival with them.
