These Cities Reported Worse Air Quality Than Delhi In The Last 24 Hours

This year owing to the increasing pollution and decreasing air quality, many cities and states in India banned bursting crackers on Diwali. Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Tamil Nadu were some of the states. But still, Delhi’s air quality fell under the ‘very poor category. But it still isn’t the city with the worst air quality. Keep reading to know which cities reported worse air quality than Delhi.

Delhi’s Report

Delhi’s air quality remained the same for the 4th consecutive day on Thursday as recorded by the Central Pollution Control Board. But to everyone’s surprise, there are other cities that have worse air quality. The quality of air in Delhi has been falling since October 24th resulting in its air going from poor to very poor. The pollution level spiked on October 23rd night owing to a drop in the temperature and people bursting firecrackers. The other reason for the same was the speed of the wind and farm fires.

Cities With Worse Air Quality

1. Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) – 373
2. Noida (Uttar Pradesh) – 354
3. Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) – 368
4. Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh) – 329
5. Gurugram (Haryana) – 362
6. Faridabad (Haryana) – 315
7. Kaithal (Haryana) – 332
8. Motihari (Bihar) – 343
9. Begusarai (Bihar) – 328
10. Jind (Haryana) – 327

The air quality is considered good if it falls between 0-50. 51-100 is considered to be satisfactory. 101-200 is considered to be moderate. 201-300 is considered poor. 301-400 is considered to be very poor and 401-500 falls under severe.
