Delta is believed to be the most transmissible variant yet and it spreads faster than the original strain of the virus. According to experts, the Delta could be 50 percent more contagious than the Alpha strain that already accounts for more than 50% of the cases in the UK. 1. Philippines
To curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Philippines has extended a ban on incoming travel from India, the UAE, Oman, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal until July 15. So far, the Philippines has reported around 17 cases of the Delta variant. Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised press conference, “This is one of the proactive measures imposed to implement international border control because of the COVID-19 Delta variant.”

2. UK

3. Spain
Spain is known for its dainty cafes, stunning sights, and of course, its siestas. Now, the European nation has reopened international travel for vaccinated tourists. Spain started welcoming all vaccinated tourists on June 7, 2021. However, Indians who arrive in Spain will have to undergo quarantine for 10 days. Spain was the most adversely affected nation in Europe amid the pandemic and had recorded around 3.6 million cases and over 78,000 deaths. But now Spain has tackled the situation well and cases have fallen.
4. Canada
Canada said it would ban all flights from India and Pakistan for 30 days due to the growing wave of Covid-19 cases in that region. Transport Minister Omar Alghabra said the ban would start from April 23 after India reported over 3 lakh fresh COVID cases. But despite the receding number of cases, Canada extended the ban on India till July 21 to contain the spread of the Delta variant.
According to experts, the Delta variant could also impact the fully vaccinated people even though they have a much lower risk of severe illness. Therefore, make sure that you are following all the necessary protocols while travelling.
