In a span of eight months, two sisters from Jaipur, Sanyogita Singh Rathore and Swati Rathore Borgohain, converted their 50-year-old ancestral home into an aesthetic bakery and cafe. O’Baque Jaipur had been the dream project for the Rathore sisters and they put their heart and soul into it. Sanyogita even quit her job and moved to Jaipur to set up the cafe. The home was built by their grandfather, so they decided to retain most of its original structure while giving it a contemporary spin. They wanted to keep the space airy to draw in enough natural light. From the garage to the storage rooms, they converted every space inside the mansion into Instaworthy chambers. In July 2022, O’Baque was finally ready and it started operations in August.

She added that the project has taught her lessons in every step. Sanyogita is a chef by profession and an alumnus of the prestigious Lavonne Academy of Baking Science and Pastry Arts. Thus, she is the chef-owner of O’Baque. Swati is the co-founder.
