A Delhi woman, Aakanksha Monga, left her corporate job to tour the world alone. She claims that feeling burned out had a role in her unprecedented choice. She left her position at LinkedIn exactly one year ago yesterday in order to pursue travel as a full-time career. Since then, she has developed a significant social media following by offering travel tips, chronicling her travels, and visiting unusual locations.
On May 17, Monga shared a tweet honouring the day she announced her resignation. According to that, she quit her job at LinkedIn last year on the same date. She made a commitment to give herself a year to devote to her love and go on full-time travel after she departed. She even stated that even after she had 25k followers on Instagram, she felt alone.

In 2020, Monga received a degree in commerce from Delhi’s Hindu College and spent more than a year working as an analyst at Bain & Company. Later, she changed to LinkedIn and started working as a Creator Manager Associate. But only six months into her new job did Monga realise she was feeling exhausted and that she wanted to accomplish more.
She has visited a number of nations in the past year, including Singapore, the Philippines, Spain, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Thailand, Germany, and others. She became a full-time content creator by sharing her travels online, and she now has over 7 lakh followers across social media platforms, a significant increase from her previous 2.5 lakhs Instagram followers.
A monotonous and stressful life can take a toll on your physical and mental well-being. Taking a break and focusing on yourself is a must!
